Claire and Keith’s Summer Party

Last weekend I had a fantabulous time at me old mates Claire and Keith’s Enchantment summer garden party. I have known Keith since playing ‘Freddy Kruger’ in one of his early film promo videos – he has since gone on to direct many great TV commercials. As always there were a few of my old ‘film-days’ friends there, including that old devil himself, Bob. Even though the cocktails flowed freely from the ‘Love Shack’ I managed to get off a few frames to record the evening – here are some of them.

Hey, what's this Trash The Dress

The eagle eyed amongst you will have noticed some posts relating to Trash The Dress (or Shoot The Dress) and I’d thought I would explain a bit about this. It started in America – a kind of after-wedding shoot of the bride in all sorts of grungy or wet or industrial locations – and the beautiful wedding dress would be (you guessed it) ‘trashed’ during the photography. Oops!

“What, trash the dress, have you lost your mind?” (or as my Dad would say “you need your head testing”)

Well think of it more as a post wedding shoot (a few days or weeks after the wedding itself) in various locations depending on the couple’s wishes and our ideas for them. Could be a gorgeous field of buttercups or it could be a disused railway station, a old building, a farmyard or whatever. It is essentially a fun and relaxed day of photography to celebrate you as a couple. And no trashing of the dress; that is unless you want to …..
